Committee of the Whole

I'm sorry not to have posted earlier. My hotel is having connectivity issues.

I wanted to link to this article in Episcopal Life Online about the extraordinary session of the House of Deputies yesterday. They met as a Committee of the Whole, meaning that legislative business was put on hold so the House of Deputies could discuss one particular piece of legislation without adhering to the usual parliamentary procedures. The resolution discussed is one that would repeal a resolution--B033--from the previous General Convention. The focus of that resolution was to impose a moratorium on the consecration of any partnered, gay bishops, a sticking point for many parts of the Anglican Communion.

You can also read the editorial from today's The Center Aisle, the daily convention newspaper of the Diocese of Virginia.

Also, Disneyland is lots of fun.
